How I Clean my Brushes

Shhhhh it’s a secret…..NOT!

It’s no secret that Cinema Secrets is one of the best brush cleaners out there. This product not only cleans makeup out of your brushes, it completely sanitizes the brushes also. This is very important especially if you are using your brushes on other people. Everyone’s face is unique, with its own pH, skin cells, and organisms. Mixing of these with other skin can have some negative effects such as clogged pores, breakouts or reactions. Even if your only using the brushes on yourself it’s always important to try to clean your brushes after each use (or more realistically at least once a week) to reduce clogged pores and breakouts, and over all to allow for a better application of your makeup.

The After Math

My apologies for not showing the sponges after they had been cleaned, I realized this as I began posting the video. Basically, after I let the sponges soak for maybe an hour or so, I rinsed them under warm running water. As I rinsed I very gently squeezed out any remaining product or soap residual left in the sponge. Then, I set them aside and let them dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours before using again.

What you need to know

In the video you noticed I used a bowl and dipped my brushes, you can also put the brush cleaner into a spray bottle and spray the brushes and then wipe. This would be great if your cleaning on the go. Another thing about Cinema Secrets is, because it is such a magic worker, it is also kind of strong. There are of course sanitizing chemicals (though safe) in the product and the manufacture recommends waiting at least 30 mins before using the brushes after cleaning. Also, I noticed if you do get any of the brush cleaner on your hands it creates this dry white film on the skin. Therefore, I would recommend even wearing a pair of latex (unless you have a latex allergy) or nitrile gloves while using Cinema Secrets brush cleaner.

Never forget safety first, always read product ingredients and manufacturer warnings, recommendations, and directions before using any products to ensure it is safe for you and you are using the product correctly.
